Don Underwood
Don Underwood is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of delivering profitable growth in executive leadership positions with both TechnipFMC and Dril-Quip. Both companies have a global footprint with headquarters in the USA. Don's unique background in executive management, technology, manufacturing, plus his sales and marketing expertise make him ideally suited to pursue global market penetration and growth on behalf of technology-based companies. He holds several US Patents and is an active member of both Texas A&M’s Engineering Advisory Council and the AI Committee.​
After earning a Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University, Don entered the deepwater offshore upstream oil & gas business resulting in the opportunity to live and work in Latin America, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and Africa, in addition to the USA. He and his family spent more than 20 years overseas, living in Brazil (twice), Singapore (twice), France, Norway and Scotland. He speaks English, Portuguese and French and holds US citizenship as well as permanent residency in both Brazil and Portugal.

Don successfully led sales and marketing for TechnipFMC’s multi billion-dollar subsea business in both Houston (covering North and South America) and Norway (covering Europe, Africa and the Caspian including Russia). In the latter role, he led the team that delivered the company’s first billion dollar award.
As a business executive, Don successfully led a number of businesses for TechnipFMC in roles including Regional Vice President TechnipFMC’s AsiaPacific business covering both AsiaPac and the Middle East, General Manager of the $1.3B Western Hemisphere Subsea business, as well as President of FMC Brazil. More recently, he was Vice President and Corporate Officer for Dril-Quip, where he led the global subsea to increasing bottom line profitability.
